Back Shop and Phase Dock Manager:

Controls and coordinates multiple shop workloads and priorities, ensures scheduled maintenance is accomplished on-time. Plan daily, weekly and monthly work schedules and manages employee leave schedules. Assign and monitor work in progress to see that established standards of safety, quality and production are met. Establish deadlines and priorities based on established schedules. Determine skills, materials and equipment required to meet production demands of multiple work centers; cross-utilize employees as required. Ensure personnel, equipment and material is available to meet critical task requirements. Coordinate with other Work Centers to ensure personnel and equipment is available to meet production objectives on Phase aircraft. Develop/follows Phase flow plans for multiple MDS to ensure efficient and economic use of resources is achieved. Monitors calibration requirements of tools/equipment utilized to maintain tactical aircraft, support equipment, forms and records. Oversees, repair and reclamation, and maintenance support functions. Advises supervisors on maintenance, and inspection aircraft issues. Monitors maintenance and troubleshooting of repair of aircraft structures, systems, components, and related equipment. Ensure special certifications are current and maintained as required by section employees. Knowledgeable of aircraft jacking, lifting, and towing operations. Communicates the company’s obligations to CBA employees.

  • A minimum of 10 years aircraft maintenance supervisory experience (Air Force desirable)

  • 3 years as a Phase Dock Chief

  • Must possess current valid DOD Secret Security Clearance.

  • Must have a/an:

  • Minimum of five years’ experience on one of the assigned MDS aircraft (F-15C/D/E, or F-16 all Blocks desired).

  • Working knowledge of computer programs (Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and AF programs - IMDS, SSBS, FED LOG)

  • Broad working knowledge of Air Force, Command and Local directives

  • Ability to represent the company during meetings with Government agencies

  • Must possess excellent people skills and the ability to deal with conflict resolution on a daily basis.

  • Ability to communicate with Military, Civilian Service, Contractor Personnel, and Union Employees

  • Extensive military background, in aircraft maintenance desirable

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a pressured environment

  • Must be willing to work flexible shift hours
