DRS Training & Control Systems (TCS), Fort Walton Beach, FL, provides engineering, manufacturing, and support of defense and aerospace systems for sea, land, air, and space use. Our product and service areas include electronic control and monitoring systems, aerospace material handling systems, simulation and training systems, aerospace support equipment, contract manufacturing, engineering, and product support. In addition, DRS TCS has contract logistics support operations domestically as well as in Europe and the Middle East.

Title: Lead Material Handler
Lead responsibilities for all materials management and control activities. Responsibilities include: receiving, storing, distributing, and shipping of raw, in-process or finished products and materials within or near plant, warehouse, storage facility or worksite.
*Duties and Responsibilities: *
Follow all procedures (SEPs) and operating instructions, meeting both in-house and regulatory quality standards, while ensuring accurate and timely documentation of each operation
Use systems and applicable documentation to capture, track, monitor, and maintain inventory data - ensuring entries are timely and accurate.
Receives and stores materials and packaging components - ensuring inventory integrity, safety, and identity.
Prepares orders and kits by processing requests and supply orders; pulling materials; packing boxes; and placing orders in delivery area.
Package, ship, and distribute materials in accordance with procedures, regulations, and industry best practice guidelines. Acquire and maintain needed regulatory certifications (e.g., IATA/DOT Dangerous Goods - 49 CFR).
Completes and maintains required reports and documents in accordance with procedures and regulations.
Maintains safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, storage areas, and workstations neat; maintaining clean and organized receiving, shipping, and supply areas.
Works under minimal supervision on duties and tasks that are frequently non-routine, adapting procedures, techniques, tools, materials and/or equipment to meet special needs.
Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish assigned tasks and goals.
Ability to build and maintain cross-functional collaboration and communication with internal and external customers, clients, and vendors including: Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Trade Compliance, Contracts, and Program Management.
Works under minimal supervision on duties and tasks that reflect substantial variety and complexity

Must have a High School Diploma or GED and 5+ years materia handling experience
Must maintain forklift certification
Must be diligent & hardworking
