Basic Purpose

To serve as provider and subject matter expert (SME) for IT Risk Management to all of ISD and business partners within the organization. To provide forward-looking, industry perspective on risk and compliance for ISD and to understand the full lifecycle process of ISD’s services, including definition, execution, and governance. To develop and implement strategy for risk management. The Manager will oversee services with high complexity of low to medium maturity (Service impact - medium to high breadth and depth). Operates with no supervision in a complex environment and serves as a mentor to other Service Managers.Major Responsibilities:• Keep abreast of industry changes and emerging technologies, risks and threats which may impact the credit union• Proactively identify risks for analysis that affect the credit union and/or business partners• Provide practical, appropriate, and cost effective recommendations on methods to manage previously identified risks• Contribute to the achievement of business objectives and strategic priorities• Understand and measure IT risk in various forms, consolidating information for internal publication and distribution.• Maintain up to date knowledge of the financial services industry and IT developments• Develops and leverages internal and external partnerships and networks• Oversee documentation, reporting, and closure of compliance or quality issues• Prepare and distribute reports to IT staff and management• Prepare/collaborate on presentations, reports, white papers, best practices, etc.• Initiates new projects and work that moves group objectives forward• Build and maintain relationships with team members, management, key stakeholders and/or external contacts• Develops workforce strategy and resource plan (skills, competencies, team size) for each service• Evaluates the performance and trends of assigned services to customers, including defined KPIs and SLAs and ensures service levels are achieved in line with SLAs and SLOs• Leverage standard templates, tools and organizational strategy to define ISD services and ensure practices and processes are standardized and repeatable• Guide and analyze benchmarking, trend analysis and other input to drive continuous improvement and elevate service performance• Ensures compliance with Navy Federal’s ISD standards, practices and processes• Manage budget, allocate costs, and partner with ISD financial services to understand cost impacts.• Performs supervisory/managerial duties:• Ensure adequate/skilled staffing; select employees• Establish performance goals and priorities• Prepare, conduct and review performance appraisals• Develop, mentor and counsel staff• Provide input and/or prepare budget requirements for Annual Financial Plan (AFP)• Ensure section/branch goals and objectives align with division/department strategy• Ensure efficiency of operations• Leadership LevelLeadership capabilities include:•Blend of well-defined and new services with planned re-engineering in process or planned•Works with limited input and direction from Service Owner or Leadership•Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish responsibilities and goals•Develops workforce strategy and resource plan that balance internal and external resources•Experience directing and controlling activities of a broad functional area•Operates with no supervision in a complex environment and serves as a mentor to other Service Managers•Defines/develops and prepares reports on key project related metrics•Advocate for Requirements Analysis practice and toolsQualifications -- Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Target:•Experience in Risk Reviews and analysis•Experience with FFIEC•Understanding of IT Operational risk•Experience in NCUA rules and regulations•Experience managing and directing all levels of analysts•Excellent relationship building and facilitation skills•Ability to analyze and implement industry best practices, processes and tools•Requires in-depth knowledge and experience of best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve products or services•Solves complex problems; takes a new perspective using existing solutions•Ability to present service status, issues and risks clearly and concisely to all stakeholders•Demonstrated ability to effectively lead technical professionals with varying skill levelsDesired:•Knowledge of NFCU operations, processes and procedures•Experience in Service Manager, Resource ManagerHours:Monday - Friday 8:00-4:30pm
