CACI International Senior System Engineer in Pensacola, Florida
CACI is hiring a senior systems engineer to support a government customer at Corry Station in Pensacola, FL. The successful applicant will be a self-starter with the proven ability to be productive, meet deadlines and provide stellar customer service with minimal oversight. This individual is a part of a small team responsible for all local information technology Tier I – III support and IT enterprise engineering projects for the customer site.
Lifecycle administration of information technology systems to include incident, service request and outage troubleshooting support
Acts as systems architect/team leader in multi-engineer teams, working on networking and communications projects. Assumes primary responsibility for system design and implementation
Consults with clients to determine needs and meets with clients on an on-going basis throughout system development.
Performs analyses to determine resources needed and works with network and communications engineers in a multi-vendor environment.
Coordinates and plans IT projects with the Program Manager in collaboration with other vendors
Integrates Microsoft/Novell/Banyan Vines/DEC, etc. technologies.
Independently support all local networked devices, clients and customer issues with regards to networks, servers, applications, databases, workstations and their interoperations
Initiate, organize, plan and implement the Windows 10 operating system upgrades as required
Front-line support for all mobile devices on site
Provide remote and onsite hardware and software support for all users at the Pensacola HQ site
Ensure compliance with IT operating system maintenance procedures using Microsoft SCCM (System Center Configuration Manager).
This includes deploying and maintaining systems and software, responding to security threats, distributing settings, and analyzing inventory data
Notify team leads and management of critical problems and major events and serve as the primary/alternate point of contact during problems and major events
Resolve technical issues on new and existing systems; including patches, upgrades, hardware installations and imaging
Assess the system state to determine and implement the appropriate action to maintain system availability
Enforce the organizations information technology sustainment strategy
Perform troubleshooting on IT security systems as an administrator
Responsible for updating and closing tickets in accordance with service level objectives and providing updates to senior management
Excellent teamwork and communication abilities to include demonstrated experience in a customer interface environment
Microsoft or Industry Certified System Engineer
CCNA or CCENT
Windows 10 Certification
Security+ or equivalent
-ITIL v3 Foundations
Experience in administration of complex systems and producing formal implementation plans and lifecycle support documents
Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
Ability to perform both detailed and high-level work.
Ability to work both independently with minimal supervision and in a team environment.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Typically requires bachelor’s degree or equivalent, and 12-15 years of related experience.
Normal demands associated with an office environment. Ability to work on computer for long periods, and communicate with individuals by telephone, email and face to face. Some travel may be required.
